Water & Energy: Solutions Towards Sustainable Management Of Finite Natural Resources

World Water Day 2014 with the theme, “Water & Energy” will address the water and energy nexus and it will be coordinated by the United Nations University (‘UNU’) and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (‘UNIDO’) on behalf of UN-Water. Water and energy are closely interlinked and interdependent.

Following successful completion of our first Roundtable Discussion on 5th of June 2013, with the theme “International Year of Water Cooperation”, Forum Air Malaysia with collaboration with Water and Energy Consumer Association Malaysia (‘WECAM’) intend to organise second Roundtable Discussion on 22nd of April 2014 in conjunction with World Water Day 2014 – Water & Energy where all stakeholders will have a chance to share their opinion on Malaysia’s water and energy related issues and eventually encourage cooperation between all parties for a sustainable water and energy management in Malaysia. Invited speakers are individuals with extensive knowledge and background in the industry and are expected to provide views, share experiences and subsequently present their views on how effective cooperation can be established in this industry to better service the people.

Involvement of various parties is vital in the hope to reach the ultimate objective of this discussion which is to improve the quality of existing services and operations, to ensure better cooperation for sustainable, clean, safe, and undisrupted water supply, and energy efficiency. We also intend to carry out this discussion in a live streaming approach. We hope to get feedback and suggestions based on industries and consumer's perspective on the issues discussed.
